Guido Pierleone (died 25 April 1228 in Rome) is an Italian Catholic cardinal. The nomination (with the title of deacon San Nicola in Carcere) was obtained in 1204 by Pope Innocent III. Signed papal bulls issued between 9 January 1205 and 13 March 1228. Archbishop of the Vatican Basilica from about 1208. He took part in the Lateran Council IV in 1215 and in papal election 1216; as Cardinal Protodist (1213-1221) crowned the then Pope Honorius III. Bishop of Palestrina since 1221. He served as a lieutenant of Honorius III in Lombardy. He participated in the papal election of 1227. He died in Rome. Bibliography
