Ajax - a beat-poetical project by Jaco van der Merwe for years linked to the alternative Johannsburg scene.

Van der Merwe (South Africa) draws inspiration from hip-hop and African tradition of oratorio. The fascination with the work of Lese Rampolokeng pushed him to the beat of poetry. The Ajax project is the result of collaboration with well-known breakbeat and producer Jacob Israel and a pair of townspeople musicians - Zimbabwe rapper Daniel Sibalo and vocalist Shangaan Nomcebo "Neverlicious" Ndlovu.
