Edmond Genet
Edmond Charles Clinton Genet (born November 9, 1896 in Ossining, New York, April 17, 1917) is an American pilot, member of the Escada Lafayette.
Edmond Prize-Charles Genet - French Ambassador to the United States during the French Revolution.
He served in the US Navy. In January 1915 he arrived in France to join the Foreign Legion. On January 22, 1917, he joined Escadrille Lafayette. He was the first American aviator who died after the United States declared war on Germany during the First World War. He was killed by a fire of artillery fire on April 17, 1917.
