Josef Hyrtl

Joseph Hyrtl (born 7 December 1810 in Eisenstadt, died 17th July 1894 in Perchtoldsdorf) is an Austrian anatomist.

Curriculum vitae

In 1835 he graduated in medicine at the University of Vienna, and two years later he was professor of anatomy in Prague. In 1848 he was appointed professor of anatomy at Vienna. He was a member of the Academy of Arts.
