The body of the most ancient Latin Polish poets

Corpus Antiquissimorum Poetarum Poloniae Latinorum (CAPPL) - a publishing series taken in 1887 by the Academy of Arts. It was created under the direction of Kazimierz Morawski.

It was meant to cover the works of Polish poets writing in Latin, living in the 15th and 16th centuries. The first volume did not appear; Volumes 2-5 included the works of Paul of Krosno, Jan of Wiślica, Piotr Roizius, Andrzej Krzycki and Mikołaj Hussowczyk. They were written by Bronisław Ignacy Kruczkiewicz, Kazimierz Morawski and J. Pelczar. In 1930, the work of Klemens Janicki (published by Ludwik Ćwikliński) was published in volume 6. The seventh volume, covering the work of Jan Dantyszk, was published in 1950.

With the resumption of the Library of Polish Writers, the CAPPL program has been included in the B series of the Library, thereby renouncing the separation of the CAPPL publications.
