Alessandro Battilocchio
Alessandro Battilocchio (born 3 May 1977 in Rome) is an Italian politician and lawyer, Member of the European Parliament. Curriculum vitae
In 2003 he completed his law studies at the Luiss-Guido Carli University in Rome.
In 2001 he became mayor of Tolfa, and in 2006 he was elected for another term. Since 2001 he has served in the national council and since 2004 in the national secretariat of the New Italian Socialist Party. Since 2006 he has been the deputy secretary of the NPSI. In 2007 he left the group, contributing to the Socialist Party of Gianni De Michelis.
As a result of the 2004 elections he became a Member of the European Parliament. He belonged to the Socialist Group in the EP. He has participated in the work of the Committee on Development, the Committee on Petitions and delegations to the EU-Armenia, EU-Azerbaijan and EU-Georgia Parliamentary Cooperation Committees. In 2009 he was not re-elected. He later joined the revived Forza Italia party.
