Burnett Guffey


Burnett Guffey (born May 26, 1905 in Del Rio, Tennessee, May 30, 1983 in Goleta, California) is an American filmmaker. Academy Award Winner.

He started his career at the beginning of the 1920s - he was an assistant of more experienced cameramen. He started working for Columbia Pictures in 1944. He was nominated for an Oscar several times. The statuette received twice: in 1954 for black-and-white photographs of Hence to the eternity of Fred Zinnemann and in 1968 for Bonnie and Clyde Arthur Penn. Authoritative control (person):
