Friedrich Adolph Roemer (born 15 April 1815 in Hildesheim near Hanover, died 25 November 1869 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld) is a German geologist and paleontologist.
Brother Ferdinand Roemer. Under the influence of his father, the judicial councilor graduated from law school, but he was professionally geologist. In 1845 he was appointed professor of mineralogy and geology at Clausthal-Zellerfeld, where he was also director of the Mining School in 1862.
The main research theme of F.A. Roachers were chalky and, to a greater extent, Jurassic in Germany.
