Genowefa Minicka


Genowefa Minicka from the house of Cieslik (born 27 June 1926 in Grudziadz, died 26 April 1992 in Poznan) - Polish athlete, Olympian.

She was a versatile athlete, though she achieved her greatest success as a sprinter. She twice competed in the Olympic Games. In Helsinki (1952) she performed on the run for 200 meters and in the relay 4 × 100 meters, both times falling off in the run. In Melbourne (1956) she fell again at 200 meters and in a 4 × 100 meter relay, but in the long jump she reached the final where she finished 12th.

Twelve times won the championship of Poland:

She was also an eight-time record holder of Poland.

She was a competitor. Poznan Garment, Construction Szczecin and Olimpia Poznan.
