Milan's coat of arms
Milan's coat of arms
Herb Milanowe has a bizarre shield in the pole. In the blue right field shows a silver horseshoe with a golden Maltese cross in the shoulder, inside a horseshoe silver arrow pointing downwards. In the left yellow field green oak leaves in the pole. The current pattern of the Milanówka coat of arms was approved on June 10, 1997 by the City Council Resolution 157 / XLVI / 97. Symbols
Horseshoe with Maltese cross and arrow comes from the coat of arms of Dolega, which was sealed by Count Michał Lasocki. He made a parcel of the Milanowski Forest, enabling the establishment of a settlement from which the modern Milanówek developed. The oak leaf in the golden field refers to the Milanówka nature. Previous coat of arms
The previous coat of arms in 1971-1997 had a bipedal shield in the belt. In the upper white box, he depicted four green mulberry leaves, while the lower red silkworm was in the inside of a black sprocket. The symbolism referred to the local industry: textile and precision. Previous Herb Milanowe Bibliography
