Sami Krounful


Sami Krounful (born 1940, died February 1, 2005 in Beirut) is a Lebanese diplomat.

During his many years of diplomatic career he has worked in facilities in Russia, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Morocco and France. The ambassador was represented in Lebanon in Tunisia, Morocco and Egypt, as well as in the League of Arab States. Since 2003 he has been a permanent representative of Lebanon at the UN. Due to severe illness (cancer), he was scheduled to complete a diplomatic mission to the United Nations in April 2005, having died earlier in the course of treatment in Beirut.
