Jens August Schade
Jens-August Schade (1973) Jens August Schade (born 30 January 1903 in Skive, 20 November 1978 in Copenhagen) is a Danish poet and novelist. Next to Kristensen and Per Lange, he is one of the most outstanding representatives of Danish poetry during the interwar period.
He studied at the cathedral school in Viborg.
He made his debut in 1925 in the magazine Atlantis. In his poems there is fascination with the poetry of the Orient and cosmogony. The first poetry book "Living Violin" is an expression of the mood of the epoch. It shows the influence of the reading of German expressionists.
