Tilt test

The tilt test (also called the vertical test) is a test used to diagnose vasovagal syncope. The tilt test allows you to evaluate the patient's cardiovascular system in conditions similar to that of the body.

The test is performed on a special table with a leg support on which the patient is placed and the ECG and blood pressure monitored continuously.

The study is conducted in three phases (phases):

The study ends after all phases of the study or after syncope.

Since the test may result in unconsciousness, venous access (such as venflon) is required during the procedure. In order to avoid falling out of bed, the patient is strapped to the side of the bed. Bibliography
