Tim Carter
Tim Carter (born 5 October 1967, 19 June 2008) is an English footballer, goalkeeper. During his goalkeeping career, Carter played for Bristol Rovers, Newport County, Carlisle United, Birmingham City, Hartlepool United, Millwall, Oxford United and Halifax Town. He was also called three times for England's youth team. As a goalkeeper coach, he worked with Sunderland A.F.C., his first team as goalkeepers coach. He later became a goalkeeper coach for the national team of Estonia. His body was found on 19 June 2008 in the bushes by a passerby in Highfield Close, in the Stretford area. Rescue services were notified, however, when they arrived, they announced that Carter was dead. His death combines two hypotheses: suicide, or participation of third parties. The police claimed that Carter's body was found with a rope possessed around his neck and that he was likely to commit suicide.
