Tony McPhee


Tony "TS" McPhee. Anthony Charles McPhee (born March 23, 1944 in Redlands House, near Humberston, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom) is a British blues guitarist and founder of The Groundhogs.

The guitarist started his career in the 1960s, during the boom of white blues. Performer of slide technique, is considered one of the most stylish performers of his generation. He collaborated with renowned artists such as Champion Jack Dupree, John Lee Hooker, Big Joe Williams, Billy Boy Arnold, Jo-Ann Kelly, Joanna Deacon, Herbal Mixture and Polish Blues Rock Guitar Workshop Leszek CichoĊ„ski, Outsider. He visited Poland for the first time in 1994, with the help of Krzysztof Opalski. Since then he has been in Poland several times, taking part in the Rawa Blues festivals, as well as giving intimate club concerts all over the country.
