Transfekcja

Transfection - the process of introducing foreign DNA or RNA into a eukaryotic cell. For prokaryotic cells, there is a transition period (if the material comes from the environment) or transduction (if transmitted by bacteriophage). Types of transfection Methods of transfection Electroporation - transfection with short-lived electrical shock in a solution containing nucleic acid. An electrical shock causes the transient formation of a micropore in the cell membrane through which DNA or RNA may get. Genetic Missile - Ballistic Transfection - Insertion of gold-coated DNA microdoles into the cell Microinjection - the DNA solution is injected directly into the cell nucleus, or in the case of RNA into the cytoplasm, using a specially crafted glass capillary.
