Walenty Orpiszewski
Walenty Orpiszewski (born 1589) - Catholic priest, confessor of Jadwiga Jagiellonian.
He came from Kozmin Wielkopolski. He was the prelate, chancellor and altarite of the now defunct collegiate church. Mary Magdalene in Poznan.
On January 8, 1573, on the recommendation of the preacher of the Wrocław chapter, Hieronim Rozdrażewski, the parish priest in Ołtaszyn near Wroclaw. Preceded by the bishops Andreas von Jerin and Kaspar von Logau (he built, at his own expense, the rectory, sheep-house, stables and bakery), he did not, however, defend the archdiocese of Theodor Lindanus for the inhabitants of Oltzine.
The office of the parish priest in Ołtaszyn was held until his death in 1589. Bibliography
