Alboin (Prince Spoleto)

Alboin - the prince of Spoleto in the years 757-758. He was elected to the prince by the people of Spoleto without the King's consent.

While Pope Stefan II was working to hand over the kingdom to Dezolidius, he also sought to restore the duchy of Benvenot and the Duchy of Spoleto to the King Frank by Pepin the Short. Alboin and Liutprand, the prince of Benewent, entrusted their princes to the Franciscan king, who did not ask for it. Scouting went off, destroyed Spoleto and Benewent and captured Alboin (Liutprand escaped). The decisive person personally took up the prince's duties in Spoleto. Bibliography
