Evangelical-Augsburg burial ground in Kochow

The cemetery in Kochów Evangelical-Augsburg cemetery in Kochów - cemetery founded in the first half XIX century in the village of Kochowo, mainly for the needs of rural residents of German origin. Position The cemetery is set on a rectangular plot of 0.12 hectares and is located among the fields, on the southern side of the road running through the village, 600 meters from the crossroads with the Słupca - Giewart district road. The oldest gravestone in the cemetery is a monument built on the site of Emmy Stiller's burial in 1870, but there are many unidentified and not preserved tombs to this day. In the early 1990s many graves were liquidated due to the exhumation and transfer of the dead ashes by the descendants of buried people there. Renovation The cemetery was partially renovated by the youth from the Public Gymnasium in Drążna as part of the competition "Pro-ecological and pro-cultural activities within the rural development strategy" organized by the self-government of the Wielkopolska Region. On June 14, 2007, an ecumenical celebration took place, which was also a summation of the work and thanks to those involved in restoring the necropolis of its former glory.
