Julio Llamazares

Julio Llamazares (born March 28, 1955 in Vegamián) is a Spanish writer, novelist, essayist, poet and journalist.

He grew up in the province of León, near the border with Portugal, later becoming the backdrop for many of his works. At the age of 12 he settled in Madrid. The first novel - Luna de lobos - was published in 1979. Three books of this author were published in Poland: The river of oblivion (2007), the journal of travel and two novels Yellow rain (1988) and Scenes from Silent Films (2005). The second one is set in the mining settlement Olleros. Her narrator, author's alter ego - looking at family photographs - returns to childhood. Llamazares books were filmed.
