Kypros I (died after 29 p.n.) - mother of Herod the Great.

From the origin was the Nabata. She came from an outstanding Arab family. Probably related to Aretas III. About 80 p.n.e. She married her son, Phassel I, Herod the Great, Joseph II and Feroras, and daughter of Salome I.

When Herod's son became king of Judea, she remained in his court. About 35 p.n. She fell in conflict with her daughter-in-law, Mariamme I. The last mention of Kypros as a living person comes from 29 BC.
