Vasyl Bobishsky
Wasyl Bobynskyj or Bobinski (born January 11 or 23rd 1898 in Krystynopol, died January 2, 1938) is a Ukrainian poet, journalist, translator of French literature.
Pupil of high school in Lviv, graduate of junior high school in Vienna
During the Galician war, he was a soldier of the Sikorskis, from the beginning of the twenties, a member of the CPWU. In 1930 he and his family emigrated to the USRR (Kharkov). In 1933 he was arrested for involvement in a non-existent "terrorist-diversionary organization", sent to the Solovetsky Island in 1934, then shot.
He was rehabilitated in 1956.
Author of many articles and poems. He was a member of the Horno and Western Ukraine groups. Literature Authoritative control (person):
