(3950) Yoshida


(3950) Yoshida - asteroid belt asteroid group that circled the Sun in 5 years and 66 days in the mean distance of 2.99 AU. She was discovered on February 8, 1986 in Karasuyama by Shigeru Inoda and Takeshi Urata. The name of the asteroid comes from Tougo Yoshida (1864-1918), a Japanese historian who created the dictionary of historical geographical names of Japan. The name was suggested by K. Hatayama. Before naming the planet, she was given a temporary designation (3950) 1986 CH.
