Czech Military Association
Český svaz válečníků (ČSV) - Czech collaborative paramilitary organization in the Czech and Moravian Protectorate during the Second World War.
The union was formed in 1941 on the initiative of Colonel Gendarmerie Oto Bláhy (soon to be promoted to general). He had contacts with the Gestapo and other German security services. As early as April 4, 1941, he submitted his wish to participate in the fight for a new Europe. Members of the Union were recruited mainly from former Czechoslovak Corps soldiers fighting in Siberia between 1918 and 1920 with the Bolsheviks. The organization numbered over 7.7 thousand. members. In fact, they did not want to fight with the Germans on the eastern front. Many of them had democratic and anti-German views. In 1943, the former Maj. Gen. Maj. Robert Rychtrmoc, who advocated the creation of a Czech army within the German armed forces. One of the chief ideologists of ČSB was Major Gustav Mohapl. The association worked with the National Union.
After the war, Blag and R. Rychtrmoc were arrested and sentenced to death for collaborating with Germans in 1946 and G. Mohapl for 25 years in prison. Bibliography
