Sweater

Sweater, a pullover - a kind of warm knit sweater, mostly wool (or - today - with added artificial fibers). The warmest, long sleeves, unsealed (pull through, "over" by, "here" "pulled over the head"), often with golf, are knitted with thick wool.

This costume was developed by Gaelic fishermen from the Aran Islands on the west coast of Ireland, and to this day sweets are one of the sources of livelihood for local residents. Such fashionable sweaters were also in the 20th century, eg as part of a ski costume. From this period comes Norwegian colorful patterns that decorate the sweaters.

Lightweight sweaters can be fastened with buttons or a zipper, with different finishes at the neck. In Poland, as in Germany, Russia or the Netherlands, pullover is usually called a sleeveless sweater.
