Antonio Calvi


Antonio Calvi (born 1341, 2 October 1411) is an Italian cardinal of the great schism of the West.

From his origins he was a Roman. He studied law and became a consular lawyer and canon of the Vatican Basilica. In the early period Schism was a follower of the "Roman" pope. Boniface IX was bishop of Imola (1390-1395) and Todi (1395-1405). June 12, 1405 Pope Innocent VII appointed him Cardinal priest of Santa Prassede. He participated in the conclave of 1406, which chose Gregory XII, but soon after he left his obedience and joined the Council of Pisa. The anti-pope Alexander V chose the title of presbyter of S. Marco. He participated in the conclave of 1410, which chose the anti-payment of John XXIII. He died in Rome and was buried in the Vatican Basilica. Peter, who has been an archipeliner since 1408.
