Herman Teirlinck
Teirlinck (1905) Herman Louis Cesar Teirlinck (born February 24, 1879 - February 4, 1967) is a Belgian writer. He was the fifth child and the only son of Brussels teachers Isidoor Teirlinck and Ody van Nieuwenhove. In his childhood he had a miserable appearance. He spent most of his time in the village of Zedelgem with his father's grandparents. Education
Between 1886 and 1890 he went to primary school Karel Buls in Brussels. He attended the Koninklijk Atheneum High School in Brussels where he studied Greek and Latin. In 1879, at the request of his father, he began studying the Faculté des Sciences at the Université Libre de Bruxelles, but wanted to become a writer and not a scientist. When he finished his first year of medicine at Universite Libre de Bruxelles he moved to the University of Ghent to study German philology; Here he did not even consult and eventually left the university in Gandew.
