General view of the cemetery Jewish cemetery in Żory - was founded in 1814 and is the oldest cemetery in the city. The cemetery is located at ul. Cemetery. The cemetery has an area of ​​0.58 ha. It is enclosed by a wall and a net. In 1945, during the war, the burial house was demolished, dismantled in the 1960s, and the necropolis itself fell into ruin during the Polish People's Republic. It was used inter alia. as a playground. In 1985 the first cemetery inventory was made, and soon the cleaning work was done. The inventory was repeated in 1994.
