Adam Druks
Adam Druks (born 1930 in Auschwitz, died in 2006 in Kefar Weradim) is an Israeli archaeologist and social activist of Polish descent, a longtime president of the Association of Former Auschwitz Jews in Israel.
He was born in Auschwitz. He was the son of lawyer and city councilor Dr Iro Druks and Lucy Lieberman. In 1942, by the Soviet Union and Asia arrived with his family reached Palestine. He graduated from the Faculty of Archeology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He then worked for 30 years as an archaeologist at the Department of Ancient Archeology at the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Education. For many years, until his death he was President of the Association of Former Auschwitz Jews in Israel.
