Adamantea (Latin Adamanteia or Adamanthea) - in Greek mythology a nymph, according to some sources Okeanida, according to others - the daughter of King Crete, Melisseus. She assisted Rei to hide in Crete a little Zeus from the wrath of Cronus, and then took care of raising the child, feeding them with goat milk.
