GNUnet is a project designed to create an independent and decentralized infrastructure for P2P secure networks. This structure provides encryption and authorization for connections, resource search, and fully controlled user resource allocation.

The first GNUnet-based application is an anonymous and file-resilient file sharing program.

GNUnet currently has versions for GNU / Linux, Solaris, OS X, Microsoft Windows, FreeBSD, OpenBSD, and NetBSD.

This software is part of the GNU project.
