Hermann Dostal
Hermann Dostal (born April 6, 1874, died December 20, 1930 in Vienna) is an Austrian composer and arranger.
As a son of military music, he was also a chaplain in the Austrian-Hungarian infantry regiments in Hungary, Slovakia and southern Moravia. He served in various Austro-Hungarian military bands, including Franz Lehár, who in 1904 took over the orchestra of the 26th Infantry Regiment. Hermann Dostal was the uncle of another composer, Nico Dostal. He is buried in the main Viennese cemetery. Artworks Bibliography Authoritative control (person):
