Robert Mills
Robert L. Mills (born April 15, 1927 in Englewood, October 27, 1999) is an American physicist specializing in quantum field theory.
From 1944 to 1948 he studied at Columbia College. He earned a master's degree from Cambridge and a doctorate from physics at Columbia University. After a year's stay at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton he became a professor at Ohio State University where he worked for retirement in 1995. In 1954, together with Chen Ning Yang, he developed a theory of particle physics called the Yang-Mills field. Their concept is based on the Standard Model. Authoritative control (person):
