Gaius Claudius Pulcher (born in 96 BC, died 44 years later) is a member of the patrician clan Claudius Pulcher, one of the most influential in the republic. The second son of Appian Claudius Pulchra consul in 79 r. P.n.e. and Cecilia Metelli, the daughter of Lucius Cecilia Metellus Diademat.
He was a member of the College of Priests of the Salsa. At 58 p.n.e. was a soldier in Caesar's army in Italy. At 56 p.n. was chosen as a pretender. He tried to resist the removal of the billboard with the statute under which Cicero went to exile. Prokonsul Province of Asia in 55-53 BC. He resigned from his initial intention to apply for a consul office at 53 BC. and he remained in the province. Upon his return he was accused by Marek Serwiliusz, the judge had to go into exile.
