Kazimierz Tumiłowicz
Kazimierz Tumiłowicz (born March 6, 1932 in Kaczanowczyno on Niemen, died April 20, 2008) is a Polish veteran activist, co-founder of the Sybira Federation, member of the Municipal Council of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The son of Wincenty Tumilowicz, coat of arms of Ostoja, veteran of the Polish-Bolshevik war of 1920, settler in Kresy and head of the commune of Nowy Swiat. At the outbreak of World War II he was a pupil of 2nd grade of elementary school. On February 10, 1940, deported by the Soviets along with his father, mother Władysława, and sisters Anna and Antonina to Jawiengi near Wożegda. Prisoner of the camp Zielonoborsk. Subject to russification. Under the Sikorski-Mayski system, his family was released from bondage and the parents took up work at the child's home in Danilovce.
In 1946, the Tumiłowicz family together with other children's boarders from Daniłówka were sent to Zbąszyń. After the war, the family settled in Zielona Góra, where, since 1950, Kazimierz Tumiłowicz worked in cooperatives. Since 1965, he lived in Gorzow Wielkopolski, where for nearly 40 years in the District Cooperative Union of which he was also the president. In the period of his office he was established, among others, the Farmer's Shop and warehouses at ul. Kostrzyńska.
Co-founder of the Union of Siberians and the Union of Siberians of the Gorzów Region. Member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Sybianas, for three terms held the chairmanship of the Chief Audit Commission, Vice-President of the Branch Board in Gorzow Wielkopolski, president of the Gorzów Association of Sybianas.
Buried April 23, 2008, at the cemetery at ul. Pigs in Gorzow Wielkopolski. Bibliography
