Poplar Lesznowska

Topaz Lesznowska - a natural monument, a white poplar (white-throated), considered as the thickest and oldest tree of this species in Poland.

It was located in the Karpinek park in Leszno district in western Warsaw.

The thickest circumference (10 cm above the ground) was over 14m, with few trees in the country having a larger circumference at that height. On the other hand, the circumference at 130 cm from the base was 991 cm. The tree used to have 5 boughs. Poplar was about 330 years old.

On the night of May 4, 2012, the tree was completely broken due to natural causes. His examination conducted several years earlier showed that he is completely rotten and is not suitable for effective skin care treatments. Bibliography
