Self-fulfilling prophecy
Self-fulfilling prophecy, self-fulfilling prophecy - the phenomenon where certain expectations for certain behaviors or events affect those behaviors or events in a way that fulfills expectations.
It occurs when information about an incident occurs comes from a source-independent source, and under the influence of this information, the units behave in such a way that they ultimately implement the content of the prediction. This is unconscious and appears in an involuntary way.
An example of self-fulfilling prophecy may be the rumor that a bank in the near future due to financial problems will fall. As a result of this information being disseminated among bank customers, the phenomenon of sheep can occur, as customers, believing in gossip, begin to pay off the savings it makes. The result of this is to get the money out of the bank and bring it down. Bibliography
