Warsaw Artists' Act
WAA - Association of Warsaw Active Artists was founded on 26.11.2002 and its aim is to support the development of contemporary art, especially visual arts, new media arts, music, literary and audiovisual works and help to initiate creative activities.
Since January 2005 WAA has been running its own gallery at ul. Koziej 3 / 5m.26 in Warsaw. The program focuses on exhibitions organized there (eg Wojciech Gilewicz, Monika Mamzeta, Ivan Moudov, Sylwia Narbutt) and the artist-in-residence project of the Warsaw Intermediate, where artists show and interpret their art. The gallery becomes a place of direct encounter with the viewer, the confrontation. The Warsaw Agent usually works during the holidays, when other institutions have intellectual stagnation, they offer a more tourist-oriented program than directed to an ambitious audience. It hosts meetings, shows, screenings and discussions. The guests were among others. Hubert Czerepok, Roman Dziadkiewicz, Grzegorz Klaman, Jadwiga Sawicka, Grzegorz Sztwiertnia. WAA website
