Aleksander Ginsberg
Aleksander Ginsberg (born 1871 in Sosnowiec, died July 13, 1911 in Warsaw) - Polish optical device designer, engineer.
He graduated from the gymnasium in Piotrków Trybunalski, studied mathematics and physics in Paris. After earning an engineering degree at Berlin Polytechnic, he worked as chief designer at K. Krauss in Paris and Carl Zeiss in Jena. In 1899 he founded the first "FOS" factory in Poland. It produced cameras, prized throughout Europe lenses, telescopes, geodetic and measuring instruments. The factory has won medals at numerous exhibitions, among others.
Ginsberg was also interested in photography, writing articles for photographic journals, acting at the Polish Photographers' Association. Bibliography
