Heinz Detmers
Heinz Detmers w czerwcu 1947 Heinz Georg Alfred Detmers (born April 20, 1919 in Norden, died June 8, 1999 in Weddelbrook) is a Nazi criminal, adjutant of Dachau and Mittelbau-Dora Concentration Camps and SS-Hauptsturmführer.
Member of the NSDAP (party card no. 5545920) and SS (identification number 309930). Served in Dachau in 1940-1942 as an adjutant of the camp commandant Alex Piorkowski. He participated in the executions that took place in the camp. Detmers was then transferred to the 1st SS Infantry Brigade (1942-1943). In December 1943 he returned to service in concentration camps. By November 1944, Detmers had served in the Mittelbau-Dora (Nordhausen) as an adjutant of the camp commander and legal officer. He also supervised executions and also beaten prisoners.
Heinz Detmers was twice convicted by the American Military Tribunal in Dachau after the end of the war. At first, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison (the penalty was reduced to 5 years) on charges of committing crimes committed in the Dachau camp (on the bench of the defendants, together with the commander Piorkowski).
