Marian Kozlowski (priest)


Marian Kozłowski (born 1932, died 16.06.2016 in Gniezno) - parish priest of the parish. St. Nicholas in Ujście in the years 1982-2007.

He was ordained priest in 1960 in Poznań. He then worked as a vicar in the parishes of Sobótka, Kostrzyn Wielkopolski, Poznań and Gostyń Wielkopolski.

For the first time, the function of the parish priest was in Kalisz in Kalisz in 1972. In 1982 he was sent to the parish in Ujście. During the work of the parish priest for two terms he was the dean of the chalet deanate. In 1992 he was nominated by Pope John Paul II as prelate.

In his parish work he deserved to be the initiator of the reconstruction of Calvary and the initiator of the creation of the Paraprofessional Therapy Workshop. He also chaired the CARITAS Parish Team in the Estuary.

For his work in the parish and for the benefit of the commune, he was awarded the Honorary Citizenship of the City of Ujście in 1998 and on 19 June 2007 the Honorary Medal of Merit for the Wielkopolska Region.

After Fr. Kozłowski lived in the Archdiocesan House of the Sages of Gniezno. He died on September 16, 2016, and the funeral rites were held 4 days later in the Ujście. Ks. Kozlowski slept next to his predecessors on the Uighur Calvary. Bishop Bogdan Wojtuś presided over the funeral. Primate Wojciech Polak celebrated a funeral mass for the deceased on 19th September at the Archdiocesan Senior Fathers' Home in Gniezno.
