Petro Pewnyj


Petro Pewnyj (born 1888 in Poltava, d. 1957 in the USA) is a Ukrainian politician of the Second Polish Republic, a Member of Parliament for the Third and Fourth Sejm (1930-1938). Curriculum vitae

He graduated from Moscow. During the establishment of independent Ukraine, the editor of the writings of Widuddhiya, Ukrajina and Ukrajinśke (1918-1921). Member of the Association. Peter Mohylo.

In the years 1931-1936 he chaired the Ukrainian Volhynia Union (WUO). As a politician, he tried to compromise with the authorities of the Polish Republic to a much wider extent than UNDO, cooperated with the governor of Józewo.

Member of the Sejm III and IV parliamentary term of the Kovel district, removed in 1936 from the WUO. After the war he emigrated to West Germany, then went to the United States, where he died. Bibliography, literature, links
