Planespotting is similar to trainspotting, but in which all aircraft are subject to observation. Spotlights are divided into groups that observe military and civilian aircraft. In most cases they are organized into groups related to the nearest airports. The names of the groups are from the airport name in the ICAO nomenclature (International Civil Aviation Organization).
