Seiza (Japanese 正 座, sit properly) - traditional seat used in Japan in dorm rooms.

The body is straight, buttocks are based on the heels. Knees bent, feet bent. The toes and the front of the calf form the tangent surface.

This way of sitting is also used outside of Japan, where seiza plays an important role in many areas of life to this day. This applies, among other things. For zazen meditation and Japanese martial arts.
