The Jamontovians reportedly had a common origin with the Holstein, Giedroyc and Svirske princes - they had come from Lithuanian rulers in Lithuania before Gediminas. They also wrote Podbereskim from their Podberezy.
The sister of the last known representative of this family was Julianna, who married Jack Seńkowicz from the family Pstruch vel Pstrucki. Her two sons: Hrehory and Ivan were the ancestors of two well-known families: the Podberes and Strzhowskis, the Gozdaw coat of arms respectively. Representatives of the former claimed their prerogatives for the title of prince and Druck Castle.
