Keryks
Keryks (gr. κήρυξ kḗryx "herold", Latin ceryx) - official (herald) in ancient Greece.
Firstly, a trustworthy member of a ruler who performs mainly ordinances at court and in assemblies, proclaiming a message, sent as a message messenger.
According to Greek and Roman mythology, these divine messengers were performed by the god Hermes (Mercury) and the goddess Iris, as well as by numerous other figures (eg Ajtalides, Eurybates, Idmon, Idajos, Kopreus, Medon). Bibliography
