Gołogóry (Podolska Upland)


Gołogóry - a range of hills in western Ukraine, the northwestern edge of the Podlasie Upland. They stretch 60 km from the High Castle in Lviv (or the town of Bóbrka) to the village of Pluchow. The highest peak is Kamuła (471 m n.p.m.), which is the highest point of Podola and at the same time the highest elevation between the Carpathians and the Urals. Other high elevations include the castle at Hanaczówka and the Limestone at Milutyn. The extension to the northwest is Roztocze, and on the other side the Zloczowka valley separates from the similar Vistula River.

They are built of sandstone and limestone. Steeply descending towards Little Polesie. They are the border of the Bug River and Dniester basin.
