Mikroskopowa hematospermia.
Hematospermia - the presence of blood in the semen. It is most often produced as an idiopathic symptom but may also be a symptom of various types of prostate diseases, urethral congestion or genetic abnormalities of bleeding. Hematospermia sometimes arises as a postoperative symptom after treatments such as prostate biopsy. As a symptom is present in about 2% of urological cases, the statistics on the percentage of hematospermia in the population are unknown. Each case of hematospermia should involve a visit to a urologist who will identify or exclude the cause of the disease. Idiopathic cases are sometimes treated with tetracycline or prostate massage. In most cases, hematospermia stops automatically after a certain period of time - however, it may involve conditions requiring contact with the physician.
Idiopathic hematospermia occurred in 17% of examined individuals once.
Hematospermia is associated with tumors in 0.3% of cases.
