mioz

An example of myositis occurring under the influence of opiates

Miosis (latin miosis) - a medical symptom that narrows the pupil of the eye. It is one of the symptoms of the Horner syndrome, is also affected by medications (opiates, pilocarpine) and in the bridge damage. In old age, the ability of the pupil to expand in response to darkness is weakened or abolished.

Argyll Robertson's symptom is a narrow and irregular pupil, with an abnormal response to light and a reaction to adaptability. Considered as a symptom that locates changes in the midbrain, it has been classically described in tertiary kinematics.

The opposite symptom is mydriasis. Inequality is defined as an anisotropy. Bibliography
