Elżbieta Zechenter-Spławińska


Elżbieta Zechenter-Spławińska (born July 17, 1935 in Cracow) - poet, translator, prose writer, doctor of humanities. Curriculum vitae

She was born and lives in Cracow. A daughter of a poet, satirist and journalist, co-founder of Cracow's "Dziennik Polski", Witold Zechenter, granddaughter of journalist Cracow's "Czasu" Edmund Zechenter. A graduate of Polish Philology at the Jagiellonian University. She received her PhD at the Pedagogical Academy in Cracow. She published several poetry collections. Author of texts for children and stories. Her lyrics are sung by Wawele Jan Wojdak's ensemble and Cabaret Artists under the Barns and Loch Camelot. In 1996, the Book of the Month was awarded the Krakow Book of the Month for the book "The Blind Hat" (Baran and Suszczyński Publishing House).

She guest-starred in poetry workshops at the Literary and Artistic Study at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow.

It belongs to the Association of Polish Writers and the Association of Authors ZAiKS. Selected publications
